Ok basically here is what I plan to accomplish for this program in the train that the end-user will follow in getting their own club.
1- User will sign-up for the club in a standard form, the results from the form will be filed into the database. The results will be accessible to the admin in the future.
2- After the form is submitted with their club name and yadda yadda yadda...the program will imediately unzip the current Postnuke version installed on the server under the the directory (club name short) that is specified in the registration form.
3- The member will customize their club in whatever aspect they wish.
Now I hope I haven't lost anybody.
The reason why I am doing this is because I think that Postnuke is the ultimate community program and would like to automate the process to allow sites to give away free communities to those who want them. I know the plan is very rough, but this is just a summary of what I want to accomplish. Now here is the problem I am faced with I know some PHP and still learning plus I am only one person so development of this will be very slow until I get off for the winter. If anybody would like to volunteer for this great project please send me inquires. Have comments or suggestions? I welcome those too, go ahead and tell me how much my idea sucks, just leave a through reason why it does so that I can see your point as well :)
