Rogue 714 files for spanish

The language has been selected to be as neutral as possible, so you won't find andy country-specific words -none that I'm aware of, anyway. It may contain some Latin America-favoured words, but that's a reflex oy my being one. Spain users may elect to change some terms but I'd say you'll be hard pressed to find them.

I missed the Downloads module, which I'll upload next week (it's a wordy module).

To install
This file contains ONLY the spa subdirectories. You can just go to your root rogue dir and do a
tar -zxf pn714_esp.tar.gz.

Link to the tar.gz:
  • pn714_esp.tar.gz, 85 kb.

(the host site, bcrux, is now not-fully-upgraded, so it does not show a thing...)

  • mail users module needs to be upgrated!!!

To improove this module, you could add an option of sending e-mails to those users who have selected their (f.ex ) interests, jobs, languages, nationality (or what ever) during the registration process (of the new account).

    what do you think?..
    thanx 4 your responce. :)

How to use a different news story image under the same topic.

I have two solutions to this problem.

    1. Create a topic named “General” and for the topic image use a transparent .Gif file with size 1x1 pixels. Then each time you want to have a specific picture in a news story use the general topic and using and enter an image using an image tag in the main text of your story.

    2. Enter an If statement in your theme that will check the first 4 characters in the main text, if these 4 characters are “<img” (that is the main text starts with an image html tag) do not display the topic image and display the one specified in the story main text.

The 1st solution is a fast and very easy, but its not recommended since you will not be categorizing you stories but throwing them under the same general topic.

The 2nd solution is much better coz you will have all you stories categorized in topics which is a good thing, but it will take a few minutes to change your theme.

Both solutions will cause a problem thought if you have 2 or more themes with different topic image alignment.

What should be a proper solution?
Just let the news module let you specify an image that will override the topic image. This is not difficult to implement and it will only have to add a new filed in stories table to hold the image filename.

    Help Wanted.

Basically, we are looking for people to scour the docs site and the forums to find questions and their answers to revise our FAQ. This will also allow us to better provide information to the community.

Also, would like to find some people to scour the weblinks and downloads etc, finding bad links etc so that we can also trim the database and keep from showing the community bad information.

I do have other things that are needed within the site before we try and transition to a more community based effort, as these efforts will make that a lot easier on everyone.

    Thanks for your time.

    Script Kiddies Running Lose

Well, it's my own fault for having apache:apache owning everything.

So, I have simply changed ownership of everything in the Doc Root directory to be owned by root:root. The directory itself also changed to root:root ownership. Hopefully that's the end of that!

Just thought I would pass it on. I have had most of these sites up for almost year in the apache:apache configuration. Guess I am just too trusting! Security by obscurity will always eventually fail I suppose.

So-- fair warning. Change your file ownerships to someone other than apache!
