1. On my present website I have both book reviews and movie reviews. What I need to transfer these reviews to the PostNuke format is a plug-in that can do a lot more than the present reviews plug-in.
I.e. a plug-in that allows multiple kinds of reviews, such as book, movie and concert reviews. This means that there should be fields such as 'author', 'isbn', 'director', etc.
2. Is is possible, with PostNuke, for an administrator to make an independent page? For example, in PHPMyWebsite (http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu) the administrator can build a page, for example call it 'information.php' and then put whatever he or she wants on that page. I.e. a way to make independent pages, not through 'sections' or 'topics'.
Anybody?
This is a very prelimenary release aimed at developers only.
XPC is GPL software.
XPC is an integration of phpMyAdmin and some PostNuke features and then some. It is meant to be the ultimate hack of PHP-Nuke to make a foundation of which to easily build addons and modules.
All of the requested Nuke features are included such as: pure templating, dynamic meta data creation, dynamic navigation, no query strings, multiple domains, unlimited subdomains, reusing all tables and all code, ACL user group access, instant file conversions (unlimited formats and a really cool administration).
(developers should only download at this stage) Is it free? Yes! Where do i
get it? go to the 4Arrow developers site located at dev.4arrow.com.
Can I get involved and speed XPC's development?
Please do. Email Mike at 4arrow dot com (that's known as a spam proof email).
I have altered the original mysql table names to reflect the prefix._tablename. system that Postnuke uses, and changed the table names to be more unique names to guard against conflict with any existing prefix_tablenames.
I have also altered most all font tags to postnuke css system, and open/close tables via postnuke system. Hopefully all should be ok ,
I have added it into my test site at
www.postnuke.net and made it available for d/l from there as well.
If you find any bugs or do any major recoding please send me a note and a copy.

At the moment you could publish news immediately or at a specific time. You could also tell the system to remove headlines after x days. I have found calendar add-ons but this is not the way to publish events. Here are my ideas:
- all news/events should have a date that specify when the event will happen
- the title of the event is included in a list that shows the upcoming events sorted by date. This list is presented in a block
- when the date is over, the event disappears from the list
- if the user would like to have more information than only the title, he could click on the event and gets the whole information presented as an article
