Report From the Field. PostNuke and Education

The new site, http://www.ebzb.com is doing well. After approximately ten days in operation there are about fifteen users signed up. The site has already gone through a heavy metamorphoses since being introduced. Initially a fairly simple site with only news submissions as a way for the user to communicate, the site now has real-time Chat and Discussion Forum. The eye catching, and sometimes painful dark blue and orange theme has been replaced with something that is much more straightforward and does not detract from content.

In short, I consider the last ten days to be a success for http://www.ebzb.com .

I invite anyone who is interested in seeing the content to come on by. Better yet, instead of being a spectator, post a story on the front page or on the forum.

If you have any suggestions as to how to make this site more appealing to educators and the other people who support education, please write me at the address above, or better yet, post it online at www.ebzb.com in the Forum so everyone can comment on it.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make this a successful launch.

John

Heavy Modifications - Chargeable?

For instance, let's say I have already added a powerful shopping cart which I custom made from scratch and lots more... And also, let's assume I have come up with extensive documentation based on my modifications and the core. What can I do to earn some money from the days of work spent on it?

Several ways of charging could be:
1. ASP model, we provide the heavily modded app, you cannot have access to the source, we just run it for you.

2. We sell you the source code with all the mods in place
- I believe GNU GPL allows for this

I'm just trying to understand the specifics and do's and don'ts of this.
